Important Changes to Hoopla Service

As of April 2, 2025, we’ve made some important changes to our Hoopla service to help ensure its long-term sustainability.

• The monthly number of Hoopla checkouts available to patrons has been reduced from 7 to 5.
• Access to higher-priced items is no longer available.

While Hoopla remains free for patrons, the library is charged a fee each time something is checked out. Since we introduced Hoopla in 2017, its popularity has grown by 900%. We are pleased that so many of you enjoy the service. However, as usage increases, so do the costs. These changes are necessary to help manage the library’s budget for this service and keep it accessible.
