The Great North American Eclipse

March 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will occur and Paw Paw is expected to experience 95.7% totality! Kalamazoo Astronomical Society President Richard Bell will give a preview of his historic event, explain why solar eclipses occur, and demonstrate how to view them safely. With the next solar eclipse visible from the US not expected until 2044, join us to get ready to stand in the shadow of the sun! Solar eclipse glasses will be given to each participant who comes to the program.
