1. 1. Go to Kanopy or download their App and set up an account with your library card. Find troubleshooting tips here.
   2. Click on the “Add a Library Card” button with the orange background.
   3. Type in your library card number exactly as it appears on the back of your library card including letters, spaces, and numbers.
   4. Type in only the numbers from your barcode in the “library card pin/password” box or you may opt to choose a PIN number at the circulation desk to ensure privacy. Click “Continue”.
   5. Optional: You can link your television to your account.

Important Changes to Hoopla Service
As of April 2, 2025, we’ve made some important changes to our Hoopla service to help ensure its long-term sustainability. Here’s what you need to know:

• The monthly number of Hoopla checkouts available to patrons has been reduced from 7 to 5.
• Access to higher-priced items is no longer available.

While Hoopla remains free for patrons, the library is charged a fee each time something is checked out. Since we introduced Hoopla in 2017, its popularity has grown by 900%. We are glad that so many of you enjoy the service. However, as usage increases, so do the costs. These changes are necessary to help manage the library’s budget for this service and keep it accessible.

These changes will only affect Hoopla, not other library digital services like Overdrive/Libby and Kanopy.

2. Click on “Get Started“. You will need an unique email address for each library card in order to use this service for each card.
3. Create a password, confirm, and “Continue“.
4. Select “Paw Paw District Library” from the dropdown list. Select “Next“.
5. Type in your library card number exactly as it appears on the back of your library card including letters, spaces, and numbers.
6. Type in only the numbers from your barcode in the “PIN” box or you may opt to choose a PIN number at the circulation desk to ensure privacy.
